The SpringOne 2008 conference is sold out this year. With 400 people attending, it's a little bit more than last year. There was a question about having SpringOne again in 2009. I'm wondering what will be the outcome here? Rod Johnson has used a job searching website: www.indeed.com to demonstrate that the trend for Spring was bigger now than the trend for EJB for example.. But comparing Spring with EJB is limiting I think. I think Spring should be compared with J2EE. I've been playing with this job trend tool and here are the results... So J2EE skills are still more important than Spring. The pictures here are live updated from indeed.com. So check this page again to see how the 2 trends are evolving. Also, the trend for Spring doesn't seem to grow anymore since June 2007, is it a sign of maturity? Impact of Java EE 5? What's your opinion? Trackback(0)
